4/6/2015     RREC new publication "The Spirit" made available to us

We have been supplied with a PDF version of the newly launched magazine "The Spirit" by the RREC, the first issue can now be found at the bottom of the "Magazine/Newsletter" page of our site here.

We received approval to include this great resource for the 1980-1998 SZ series car owner from the publisher Richard Charnley, this is what he wrote:

Hi Ian,

No problem at all – we would be delighted to add The Spirit to your website and hope it will be of interest to readers.
It is available as a free PDF download but there are high quality printed copies also available from the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club shop for £5 each plus p&p – email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for details.
Our second issue will be published in a couple of weeks and we would be pleased to send you a copy of that – it has 132 pages and the PDF is about 11Mb.

4/6/2105  Information from the Secretary NZ Federation of Motoring Clubs

Subject:  Health and Safety Reforms pertinent to motoring clubs.

The good news is the lobbying of Ministers and Government MPs by our various member clubs has had the desired effect.

The Select Committee’s report back to Parliament on the Health and Safety Reform scheduled for Thursday has been delayed so sections of the Bill can be further considered and reworded including those that apply to voluntary associations.

Because of those pending changes our WorkSafe speaker cancelled his prepared presentation to our AGM, but he generously agreed to an informal discussion.

There is a report on his address and that of the president of the Australian Historic Motoring Federation in the next issue of Classic Driver.

In the meantime we will keep you informed of further developments.

Roy Hughes

Secretary NZ Federation of Motoring Clubs
